Privacy Policy
For the StayAwake web application · Last updated: October 28, 2026
StayAwake is a web application that helps keep your device's screen awake and offers productivity features including a digital clock, battery status indicator, to-do list, and Pomodoro timer. This policy describes information handling on stayawake.pages.dev, including when the site is installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA). StayAwake is developed and maintained by Pranav Arya.
1. Information stored on your device
The application uses your browser's local storage to remember the information needed for its features. Depending on your use, this may include the name you enter for your greeting, clock format and widget visibility preferences, minimal-mode preference, widget positions, to-do list items, and Pomodoro timer state.
This information is stored in your browser on your device. The application code does not send these local preferences, tasks, or timer data to a StayAwake-operated application server. Your information may be removed if you clear the site's stored data in your browser.
2. Google Analytics
The current website includes Google Analytics (measurement ID G-LJHS9DBDQX) to measure website usage
and understand how the application is used. Google Analytics may process information such as page and interaction
events, browser and device details, identifiers or cookies, approximate geographic information, and technical
request data, including IP address information handled by Google's services.
Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. For details, review Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics' data practices.
3. Battery information
When supported by the browser and device, the site can read battery level and charging status through the browser's Battery Status API and display them in the battery widget. The application code uses this information to update the widget locally and does not transmit battery level or charging status to a StayAwake-operated application server. Availability and behavior depend on browser support.
4. Screen-awake functionality
StayAwake uses browser-supported functionality, including the Screen Wake Lock API and a fallback mechanism, to help keep the screen awake while the web application is active. This function does not require the application to collect your browsing history or the content of other websites.
5. Third-party services and external resources
The current website requests resources or embeds integrations provided by third parties. These include:
- Google Analytics for usage measurement.
- Google Fonts for typography.
- jsDelivr for Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript resources.
- Cloudflare-hosted CDNJS for Font Awesome and the Buy Me a Coffee widget script.
- Buy Me a Coffee for the optional creator-support widget.
- Pomofocus for an externally hosted Pomodoro completion sound.
- External promotional or recognition badge resources, including Product Hunt, Fazier, Startup Fame, Code.market, Twelve Tools, ProductBurst, and SaaSHub.
When your browser requests third-party resources, the relevant provider may receive technical request information, such as your IP address, browser request headers, and the requested resource URL. Each provider handles information according to its own policies. When you follow an external link, the destination site's privacy policy applies to your use of that site.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The application's settings and task data are stored using browser local storage, which is distinct from cookies. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers for usage measurement. Third-party providers may use their own technologies as part of the resources and integrations they supply.
7. Information not sent to a StayAwake-operated application server
The site does not provide user accounts or cloud synchronization for your tasks. The application code does not intentionally transmit your saved display name, preferences, widget positions, to-do list, or Pomodoro state to a StayAwake-operated application server. The website does load Google Analytics and third-party resources as described above, and its hosting provider may process technical information needed to serve the site.
8. Data retention and deletion
Application preferences and task information remain in your browser's local storage until changed, removed, or cleared through your browser settings. Data processed by Google Analytics and other third-party services is subject to their respective retention policies and settings. Clearing the site's stored data may reset your preferences and remove saved tasks and timer state.
9. Children's privacy
StayAwake is a general-purpose productivity application and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
StayAwake is designed to keep application preferences and productivity data in your browser rather than send them to a StayAwake-operated application server. No electronic storage or internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Avoid entering sensitive or confidential information into the display-name field or to-do list.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if StayAwake's features, integrations, or data practices change. The latest version and revision date will be published at this URL.
12. Contact
For questions or privacy concerns, please open an issue in the StayAwake GitHub repository. Please do not post sensitive personal information in a public issue.
